The Art and Design course is a broad based course ensuring the development of drawing, painting and sculptural design. Trips to galleries and museums strengthens research and knowledge, ensuring that pupils are up to date with contemporary work. Artists workshops and teaching time allows the pupils to experiment and explore different ways of working in disciplines such as ceramics, film, photography, casting and many more.
The course consists of two elements, an internal set course work project and an externally set exam project. The pupils work is both internally and externally assessed at the end of the year.
