This course uses a problem-solving approach to Business Studies to help candidates establish a critical understanding of the nature and working of business and industry. The emphasis is on encouraging candidates to develop their ability to recognise, define, analyse and evaluate problems. Owing to the practical nature of the course and the fact that it promotes a holistic understanding of business and enterprise, it is highly valued by employers in many types of business.
Students will follow the O.C.R. Business Studies Course. The course is divided into four modules – the firs two constitute the AS-level with completion of two A2 modules for the A-level.
An introduction to business and business functions (marketing, accounting & finance, people in organisations and operations management).
Marketing and strategic management.
AS-level and A-level
Grade B in Mathematics or English. Students with an interest in current affairs will be at an advantage.
